PUTNAM COUNTY ATTORNEY, ALSO SERVING ST. JOHNS COUNTY, FLAGLER COUNTY, AND DUVAL COUNTY

James "Jim" Neshewat has called North Florida home for 30 years. Jim is a graduate of The University of Central Florida with Bachelor's degrees in Economics and English Literature and obtained his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law.

Jim helps identify estate and investment tax-efficient opportunities for his clients while implementing them in a seamless and effective manner to help achieve their goals. Jim brings strength to his client’s financial plans through his knowledge of various financial and legal avenues often overlooked by individuals and their advisors. By complementing existing plans and supplementing previous decisions, Jim helps his clients work toward financial success through his planning process that is client-focused through education, protection, and trust.

Jim emphasizes that a quality financial plan requires a comprehensive approach that looks beyond investment and insurance positions. Jim is passionate about helping individuals make the right decisions in all areas that impact their financial future by embracing a holistic approach to protecting their client's assets from unknown events, including market volatility, liability through lawsuits, taxes, and conditions that can compromise what their clients have worked for.

Jim is active in his professional communities of law and financial advising and commits his time to educate fellow advisors and attorneys while also being active in his alumni association. Jim loves to spend time with his wife, Dallas, and two sons, Paul and Silas. His hobbies include basketball, college football, and spending time with his English bulldog, Hamlet.
